Can You View Blink Camera Feed On Your TV?

Yes, you can view the Blink camera feed on your TV! Doing so is notably easy, but it’s easier if you’ve bought into the Amazon “Smart Home” ecosystem.

Amazon wants you to buy more of its products, so it seems obvious that it will make its subsidiary’s products- such as Blink, Fire TV, and Alexa- work notably well together.

Officially, Amazon offers no other way to view your Blink camera feed on TV.

However, we’ve figured out a few other ways.

Let’s take a closer look.

How To View Blink Camera On TV

Ultimately, there are four ways to watch your Blink camera footage on your TV.

Three of them allow you to watch a live feed while the final one lets you review old footage.

However, the three live feed options also may require that you have certain extraneous products from Amazon, Google, or Apple.

The four options are as follows:

These options might sound somewhat exclusive, but you don’t need to worry.

As long as you have at least one smart device, such as a smartphone, the odds are high that you can view your Blink footage on the big screen.

How to View Blink Camera on TV

Use Your Fire TV

The Amazon Fire TV is the easiest method on this list.

After all, both Blink and Fire TV are Amazon products, so it makes sense that they’d work so well together.

If you’ve already hooked up your Blink camera to your Amazon account, all you have to do is ask Alexa to show you your camera.

When you say “Alexa, show me (Camera name),” it will appear on any connected Fire TV device!

Use Chromecast

If you have an Android phone, your options are a bit more open.

As long as your TV will accept Chromecasting, you can simply cast your feed onto the screen!

Here’s a more in-depth look.

  1. Launch your Google Home app.
  2. Select the device you want to cast to.
  3. Select “Cast My Screen.”
  4. Navigate to your Blink app.

Your Blink footage will now appear on your TV screen!

Use AirPlay

Unfortunately, this option is different from the others on the list.

If you want to use AirPlay to view your Blink camera footage on TV, you must have both Apple TV and a mobile Apple product, such as an iPhone, iPod, or iPad.

If you have both of these, you can easily watch your Blink footage on your TV.

Apple calls this process “Mirroring.”

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Make sure you have connected your Apple TV and chosen device to the same WiFi network.
  2. Open the control center on your chosen mobile device.
  3. Select “Screen Mirroring.”
  4. Select your Apple TV.
  5. Enter any relevant passwords.
  6. Navigate to your Blink’s live stream.

The footage that appears on your phone will now appear on your TV.

Watch Old Footage With A USB Drive

If you don’t want to watch live footage on your TV, you’re in luck! Watching old, saved Blink footage via a USB drive might seem a bit archaic, but it works just fine.

Simply store your saved clips on a USB or external hard drive, hook them up to your TV, and review the clips at your leisure.

In Summary

Unlike many attempts to link devices across platforms in the modern day, watching Blink footage on your TV is far easier than you might expect.

We primarily use our Fire TV stick for this, but we were pleasantly surprised at how simply casting our Blink footage to our TV was!
